Functional MRI

FUNCTIONAL MRI

Brain Research

The human brain is most complex organ in the human body, and perhaps the most remarkable. It is often described as mysterious, least- explored regions and we are far from understanding it in details. Much knowledge has been gained over the past years with the advancement of neuroimaging methodology, which begin to provide insight into the vastness of brain function and resiliency. With a greater understanding of how the brain functions, it will help clinicians to develop more effective ways to treat patients with various disorders related to brain function. Here we use non-invasive technologies such as the functional and structural MRI to explore the different cognitive function (i.e. attention, memory, language etc.) of human brain as well as to prepare a structural and functional connectivity neural network in disease and normal population. This will help to identify the causes, treatments and potential cures for neurological, psychiatric and often fatal diseases. It may prevent people from developing these conditions in future or cure people of them. However there are many other important brain functions that remain to be studied in depth.
